    Hello all,
I'm new to the Gulf Coast, and just had a fox attack one of my chickens. My wife scared it off, but I'm sure he'll be back.
    2 Questions..
    1. Are foxes protected in Florida?
    2. Is 22 Cal a decent caliber for said fox?
Edited to add My other alt was either a 5.56 or 12gauge with either a Turkey or #4 buck.

    Thanks in Advance.
    Carl

Live traps work well too plus you dont have to be there for it to work out for you n the chickens. Then relocate them.

I don't know about FL but it may be on the same lines as it would be here in GA
Fox it a furbearer hence the seasons
you can not relocate a wild animal
you can protect your chickens by dispatching a nuisance...but you can't harvest said nuisance

    the SSS works good too

from reading the FL law it is similar to GA's on relocation. You can relocate it on the same property you caught it on. If you have 1-10 acres will that help? You can take it to someone to euthanize farther away or you can save gas and trap.. SSS
