It's getting near.....the 2024-25 deer season. To get folks in the mood, let's get some informal opinions on the subject of your favorite deer stand snack? I'll go first....in no particular order.....peanuts, pop-tarts, Doritos, snickers, beef jerky...
What's your go-to snack for those hours spent in the bush pursuing 'ol Odocoileus virginianus??

When I was a teenager my mom would make me a couple of ham and egg biscuits . This was long before any fast food restaurants had even thought of such a thing. I eat one in the morning and the other one about 1pm if I didn’t see any deer . When most other hunters would leave the woods in the middle of the morning I stayed put. That tactic paid off for me on many occasions , I killed a lot of deer between 10 am and noon over the years.

Make granola bars with oats, honey, seeds, any dried fruit and chopped up jerky. It’s good af and gives you energy to drag deer out of the muck :)

Some chips , a bowl of salsa , and a cold beer , all from the comfort of a giant recliner watching football games. When I want something to throw on the grill I go to WD .
Lost interest in hunting and killing something that couldn't do the same.
