Grandpa picked this up at an auction years ago, I just recently polished it and touched up the wooden butt. It lacks a trigger and hammer connector, or maybe one would call it a spring. Basically, the v-shaped piece that uses spring tension to keep the trigger and hammer in operation. Would love any info y'all got. Markings include 1) a crowned 'N', and 2) an 'ELG', along with hand engravings.

The crown over N I believe is Belgium, which would support the lack of markings as a lot from the Liege region often weren't marked or were resold to suppliers in other countries. Cant say for sure though, but I hope it might help your research. Lovely little pistol!

I'm sorry that i won't be any help research, or gunsmithing wise. But just because it looks cool I would love to see some more pictures that are alot more up close and of both sides including markings, along with the bore/ barrel if you could. It's a neat little rig that looks old as hell and super cool

Be careful in polishing and other restorative work on antiques unless you know what to do and what not to do. Me I do not know, but know enough to suggest caution.
