So as of July 13, approximately ONE PERCENT (1%) of the population has or had Covid-19. The death rate is a whopping POINT ZERO FOUR PERCENT (.04%). That means that we have shutdown everything for something that has a survival rate of 99.96% among the general population. Why is this such a freaking emergency again?

My Wife, who has been working on/off the Covid Floor; has been SIQ for a few days. Dr. directed she get nose ream tested today. It will take a few days for results to tell if "we" got it. I've been fine, no symptoms or complaints.

And that's assuming the test is correct. From my understanding there are many false positives and negatives.

Hopefully she is alright and you guys stay safe. :)

Your death rates and survival rates are not being calculated based on infected people. Your numbers are therefore neither death rates nor survival rates. I assume you copied and pasted this?

While I do have concerns about this for elderly, which includes my parents, it is not a deadly virus that warrants all of the media hype to keep us all cowering in fear. While cases are indeed spiking, we are also testing a LOT more and should expect numbers to rise. This is the first step of getting the masses to obey as we are blindly led into socialism, marxism, then communism. Beware of a future "one size fits all" vaccine that is mandatory...

The death and survival rates are based on total population, not infected. The calculations are my own, not cut and paste.

It still stands that you have a 1% chance of being infected. The death rate of 138,000 out of 3.4 million infected is less than 4% (1 in 25) which is the same odds of dying from ANY preventable cause according to National Safety Council statistics (https://injuryfacts.nsc.org/all-injuries/preventable-death-overview/odds-of-dying/). You stand a greater risk of death from cancer or heart disease.

I do not argue the disease's existence. What we are seeing is the nanny state on steroids. The general population is too stupid to wash their hands and take general precautions without the government mandating their behavior. If we accept this based on the one percent, what else are we willing to accept? This doesn't end. It is just the beginning.

Go to your Google search engine. Plug in any random 3 or 4 digit number followed by new cases. For example “1267 new cases”

    Your point?
Try any random numbers and let me know your findings. According to my searches it appears you can find any amount of new cases Of Covid being reported. And it’s COVID only. And why Covid only? You would think murder cases or cancer cases would pop up but it’s Covid only.

Because no one is dying of anything other than Covid according to the media.

I'm telling you, they're probably wanting and getting everyone's dna from the free c19 tests to update their database. Seriously, does it really take 7-8 days to get your results back just for c19 test? I see on tv where they say some test labs give results within 24 hrs, 48 tops. So why is it taking well over a week for your results when there are some tests that can give results within 15 minutes or so?
Try getting a test without a pictured ID.

We received Wife's Covid 19 Test results: Negative. That's good news, it would be great news if there was better Test accuracy. Oh well, it is what it is. She's still bad SIQ, started Rx antibiotics and steroids. Hopefully, she will be over the crud in a few days, that's about when I get it from the carrier monkey! BUT, I won't need the DEEP nasal swab since Wife took one for the Team. Lol

    Thanks for the support.

great news.. eat those zinc tabs like candy, vit d3, vit b complex, vit c....garlic in your food, not a problem with me, I love it.

I saw this am, several testing sites in mid florida, are only reporting positive tests, that makes it look like everyone has it...skews results, giving state and govt more control...

Why is it a big deal as to the number of tests conducted in relation to the positive and negative test results? I can see the reason of it, getting an idea the % of population infected. But whats the big deal on it?
I'm not worried about the percentages of negatives and untested, I'm more concerned with Positives in a given county regardless of it's total population.
And whatever the number of positives, you may as well double that number for the ones not tested and the asystematic people out spreading the love.
I'm sure some of you won't agree, but I think the whole state should be mandatory for wearing mask in public, at least for a month to see if it helps.
It'd certainly beat closing the state down again and issuing another stay at home order.
