CMP 1911 round 4 Can now get a second one

CMP just opened round four of the 1911 sales. They changed the rules that limited you to one per lifetime and will now allow you to get a second one. If you received a 1911 in 2023 you are not eligible but if you got one in round 1 or 2 you can apply again. Something to do with getting more than 1 in a calendar year. Round 4 is open from September 1-30. Rumor has it there are lots more 1911's to disperse and another round is coming early next year. I previously got one in round 2, a rack grade and submitted my packet Sept 1 for a second one. If you have any interest in 1911's this is a chance to own a genuine US military issued gun for much cheaper than you can buy one on the open market.

Different grades are different prices. A completely redone service grade is $1250. The prices and descriptions of the other grades is on the cmp1911 website.

Why?

Well if genuine US military issued 1911's are your thing this is the chance to buy one for about half of what one would cost if not bought through this program.

I picked up a service grade in the first round of these sales. This time around I'm going for a field grade.
