Is the cafeteria at PCOLA Naval Air Museum still a replica of the Club at Cubi Point PI?

Haven’t been able to go since before the shooting.

They’ve got to figure out how to get tourists into the museum else it will become a ghost town of a museum but don’t appear interested in the name of safety.

They are going to start having escort lines like they do for the funeral.

You will have to sign up for a time, show up and line up, then you will be escorted to the parking lot. The exit will be the same way.

    This is the temp fix.

Open this weekend to anyone (who might like huge crowds) (last part is by me!)

"*Editor's note: This story has been updated to note that access to Fort Barrancas will be permitted.

Naval Air Station Pensacola will allow a weekend of public access to the installation March 25 and 26, 2023.

Public access to NAS Pensacola March 25 and 26 will be available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through the West Gate only on Blue Angel Parkway. All guests 18 and older must have a valid state or federal picture ID such as driver's license or passport.

Access will be available dependent on available parking at the National Naval Aviation Museum and Pensacola Lighthouse. Once parking is full, public access will be halted until more parking becomes available. Temporary traffic control points will be located on base to prevent public access to other areas of the installation. "

We were there about a month ago and talked to one of the guys in the theater. He said the museum was open to DoD cardholders only, and didn't see an end in sight. But, that certainy could have changed. He did mention they had taken financial hit since the general public was no longer admitted. Maybe someone did the math.

ETA: Based on what I've read so far about the whole escort/parking thing; this ain't gonna go well... Somebody obviously never learned about KISS, when dealing with people.
