Wouldn't that depend on whether or not the manufacture designated what it was?

The last 2 lowers I purchased were other. I was told they were not barreled so they aren't a firearm. Can you specify you want them labeled as a pistol and is it legal to do so? I don't know. For certain but I'm pretty sure.

I was just joking about Dan wanting an Anderson. I bought them a couple years ago when KT was running a sale on them, I was not searching them out. They may cause less hassle if I have an interaction with an uninformed LEO.

I had a conversation with another home based FFL when I bought an Aero lower for a pistol build. I told him I was building a pistol. He said that the bare receivers were transferred to him as receivers(other) so they had to be transfer from him as receivers. If he transferred it out as a pistol then that would mean he was a manufacturer and he is not licensed as such. Just more of the stupid gun laws.

What about complete lowers from a manufacturer?
Does the manufacturer specify if it is a pistol lower or rifle lower?
I purchased 2 pistol lowers, with the oversize tube.
But I have seen other lowers with a gi tube sold with no stock.
