Assuming it isn't chrome lined, is there really any reason to get phosphated AR parts, specifically bolts and barrels? Seeing as how nitride and melonited parts seem cheaper and easier to produce, doesn't seem like there's much reason for phosphate, besides specific or retro builds. Anyone have opinions otherwise? Would be interested to hear.

Phosphate, chrome lined is the way to go in my opinion. Chf/CL I either go DD/FN/Spikes (which is made by one of those) CL I go with criterion. Want a criterion core barrel at a good price bevanballistics he's now on the forum as well. Do I have a nitride barrel? Yep two of em. Ballistic Advantage and Faxon, do I like em? They're alright but my old boss ruined me on gear and parts.
