The quick answer is: not if it is kept cool and dry. Plastic shotshells help a lot. In the old days of paper shotshells, if they got moist, they would swell and be hard to chamber. Additionally the powder could dampen over time. Today with modern shotshells it’s not much of a problem. But best always to keep your ammo/powder cool and dry. IMHO
