Well here's my Ruger Precision Rifle, now chambered in 6BR.

    Build Includes:
    RPR action
Patriot Valley Arms 26" 1/8 twist barrel
    M4-72 Extreme Duty muzzle brake
    Timney two stage trigger
    Anarchy Penguin Grip
Midwest Industries 15" free float handguard
    Magpul bipod
    Magpul PRS stock
    Vortex PST 6-24 scope
    Vortex Rings

Have only done load development at this point but it really seems to have a node between 28.5 and 29.5 of N540 powder.

Used Berger 105gr hybrid bullets for LD.

Cruising along at 20rd avg of 2836fps. SD of 8.6 and extreme spread of 22fps.

How do you like that M4-72 brake. I know they are loud . . . but is it efficient ??
I have one with the shim kit that I have never installed on anything. --- SAWMAN

given your samples, I would do 28.8 - 29.8 in 0.2 increments ladder test. 28.5 POI no bueno.

I ended up settling on 29.4gr seated 15 thousands off the lands. It's been grouping at just over 1/4 MOA. Today I will be shooting at 300yds out to 1.1kyds. Sadly they only have paper out to 300. But I'll post up some more pics.

Sounds about right. That is a mighty fine grouping. PVA is good stuff. Did you went with button or cut?

It's very efficient. It seriously has less kick than my 556 rifles, if that is possible. It looks pretty good also if that even matters. But yeah the shim kit that they make is top notch for sure also. Their guide tells you which shim you need based on how many degrees you need to time it correctly.

    Overall a great investment.

    Thanks for that input Doc.
    Just might install mine on a 16" 308Win that I shoot about 200fps faster than a 300BLK.
    Or possibly a 6.8SPCII. --- SAWMAN

I think it would be a waste on the 6.8. People say 308 doesn't have kick or you are a wuss if you cant handle it. However after my surgery most impacts on my body are pretty painful. Bit this brake does its job for sure.
