I am a noob when it comes to optics as most of the shooting i have done is with a red dot. So, with that being said I am looking for good input on a budget friendly 1-6 or 1-8 optic for the ar. All input would be appreciated.

I assume the budget friendly would be somewhere around $500 and under? If so Primary Arms, entry level Vortex, or a newer company Swampfox. This is all based on new optics, buying used may open up the field a little bit. If you're cool with a 1-4x the Steiner P4Xi is an excellent choice as well.

Any feedback as of yet on those Vortex 1-8 for $299.
That seems like a great deal. ---- SAWMAN
