Weapon is not BS. Has been used before. Born from the PC desire to minimize collateral damage while taking out the target.

What gets to me is the somewhat unremarkable incrementalism that creeps up on people who are sitting still. All around them things are moving along and one day they realize that just because they're not bothering anyone, it doesn't necessarily follow that no one's going to bother them.

still makes no sense, if it gets close enough for the blades to hit the target, the missile would hit him.

Of course the kinetic energy drone attack can cause collateral damage, but to a much less degree than high explosives. Below picture of a drone using HE. It is an airburst and the zone surface area of damage is more likely to cause collateral damage. It is the difference between using a well placed bullet vs a hand-grenade.

Possibly. The accuracy of these things is amazing. Either way, the results of something going that speed are not good on the receiving end.
