My favorite movie of his was "Lonely are the Brave"

I could not find it, but there is one picture where he uses his take down 44-40 92 winchester to use the two parts of the rifle to splint his broken leg while running from sheriffs and national guard. He was in jail for a stupid bar fight and he breaks out of jail. IIRC he and his horse get hit by a semi-truck hauling toilets.

He was great in so many movies, it’s hard for me to pick a favorite but we watched 20,000 Leagues recently and I had forgotten he was in it.

His most famous role was likely Spartacus, but how can a film like that not be well received.

    Range, Al. Near Brewton.
    The man from snowy river.

Hopefully in his will his son Michael has to be put in the coffin with him. Bloomberg puppet.

I was aware of the son's position. I googled it and apparently when Kurt was 96 he too took an antigun position. That is really disappointing.

Spartacus was my all time favorite, but Paths of Glory is exceptional as well.

I saw an interview once where Kirk explained that him and John Wayne were polar opposites politically, but always were great friends.

    We are diminished.

Paths of glory was an exceptional film for sure. It used to be those old black white classics were free to view on youtube. I see there is a charge to view them now.
