On sale at BCA.10% off and free shipping today only. Side charger. They only have the 16 and 18 inch models. Going to go with the 16. 1:24 twist.

Looked at the 350 legend but after reading up on it decided to go with the 450. The 350 has to use special made bullets, and the 450 uses regular old .45. Of which I have a pile. Most of my shots are well inside 200 yards.

The mags are all over. I believe that they are single stack.
There is also tons of different ammo available. I would prefer the 18" for a little extra velocity. Even 50-60fps given a heavy bullet will equate to a good boost in terminal ballistics.
You will love the side charge. No more two groping for the rabbit ear(s). ---- SAWMAN

Yep. I looked at the 18 but the + power was not that much more. I picked up a left hand bca 223 LEFT HAND upper reciever side charger at the gunshow for the same price as bca for the 20 inch 223 wylde barrel I ordered. Also the scope won't be in the way of the charger. Cool. 450 upper is going on the TRUMP LOWER. A2 STOCK.

Somewhere I saw a follower kit for the 20rd mags. $14 I think.

Have hammering on the extractor. At least it looks that way to me. Already contacted BCA.

Also have copper looking ring on inside of barrel where the rifling starts. Used chamber brush, still there. Accuracy was good,(1 inch @ 100yards) so ?? Bore was very dirty, spent/unburnt powder in barrel after 21 shots.

Something else cool. Has 2 qd sockets on sides of handguard, but not on bottom. Also dont know why they call em qd cause it's a fight everytime I want to take one off.

Got the followers yesterday, after tinkering, filing, cussing got them to fit the gi 20 rd mags. May have to do a crescent cut on the front of the mag. Cycled in the rifle 3x but sliding them out it catches.

Cycling in the weapon they work fine. Also changed out the extractor.

I shape most all my 223/5.56 and 300BLK mags (metal and plastic) so that the front, inside is at a 45deg angle.
The MagPul's are especially easy. ---- SAWMAN

Got 3 working mags now. One pmag,(different vendor) and two gi mags. The guy refunded my purchase due to the followers being the wrong size. So I basically got two mags for free ( beats +24$ each) and two spare followers to use later. Had to hand fit then measure and send info to the seller to mod his 3d printer program. Win/Win. :)

Just picked up the 18 inch upper from Bear Creek with the side charging handle. Cant wait to shoot it. Guess ill try to modify some GI mags for it.

Cool, I looked at the 18, but picked the 16. Most of the time im hunting from a shooting house. I'm using an a2 buffer with a2 spring, stock no problems. The stock 20 rd mag sort of works without the follower.

if you use the magpul grip with the storage space in the grip you can put an allen wrench in there to tighten up the bolt handle if it works loose. Or locate some of the mini rubber o rings. The handle might work loose under firing both of mine did, 450/223. Also don't crank the crap out of it, or use locktite as you have to pull it to clean. Sawman posted info on the orings.
