Going to get back into hunting again. Looking for a traditional wood stock blued barrel bolt gun. Something like a Remington 700 BDL or a Model 70 Winchester. Ideal caliber would be a 7mm-08.

PM me if you have anything like that and let me know what you would be asking for it.

    Thanks.

I will second what Rebel Rider 1969 said! The Ruger American is an excellent economical choice! I would avoid any of the newer Remingtons they are not built like used to be and have had a LOT of recalls! The Savages are pretty good also! Good luck!

Thanks for the comments. I will consider these also. I also understand the Tikka makes a good rifle too.

So far, it seems that no one is willing to part with anything.

The stipulation of "wood and blued" takes away some offers by our members.
But eventually . . . offers will come. --- SAWMAN

+ 1 on avoiding newer Rem's . Have a Tikka T3 myself & like it . Does have plastic mag & trigger guard but is very accurate . Browning A bolt in 7mm-08 also accurate but also has a mag which won't work with heavier bullets but 139 - 150's work . Call One Shot he's got a bunch of stuff he might sell .

I have a mint TIKKA T3 LITE in 22-250 Remington with Vortex Diamondback scope setting on Leupold mounts and rings. Harris bipod (12-24inch) and ammo. It is a caliber I have used for years for coyote and deer. It has been fired about 30 times and is sighted in a 400 yards. very accurate !!! Le me know if you are interested. I am looking for a heavy caliber for bear hunting!

I've got an older (probably 80's) Remington 700BDL in 270 that is blued with wood stock, i'd sell for $400 or trade for something interesting.

Are you still holding out for wood/7mm-08? If so, I don't want to put shiny objects in your path. Lol

Now I'm wavering. My horizon has been expanded (as such). Plastic and stainless may work. Depends on what and how much. Still looking for a higher quality (some say mid-range) rifle. Now not especially hung up on 7mm-08, as long as it is a hunting cartridge with a focus on local deer/hogs and such.

    Whatcha got?

Probably a bit much for local deer/hogs but you could hunt just about anything on the planet with it. Lol You may get other offers now that parameter opened a bit. Hope you find what you want.

Holy shit, magnum, .300 and Weatherby! Whatcha been tryin to shoot?

No, I'm afraid that's too much rifle for me. At my age I don't think that my shoulder could take that gun.
