    In my opinion. jewelry has no market value beyond the spot price of the metals they are crafted from. Appraisal values are inflated numbers provided to achieve maximum recovery from your insurance company in the event of loss or theft, but do not accurately reflect the street value of the item. Jewelry is an emotional item not an investment item. Much like a car, it loses half its "value" the minute you drive it off the lot.

    I agree.. I inherited all this... if I have 15000 in appraisals what can I really expect to get?
