Anyone here have any experience with this scope? I'm looking to put it on my Browning X bolt medallion 30-06. I've read lots of good and some bad online. Wondering if anyone here has one and how good the light is at dusk and dawn. Not looking to shoot over 200ish yards with it. I can get it for $125. Other option is a Vortex Copperhead 4-12x44 for $140. My rifle is currently without optics and these are the only 2 I've found in my budget until I can afford better glass. Thanks ahead for any replies or info.

I have . . I dont know how many . . Leupold VARI-X 1 scopes. They are definitely worth the money.
The windage and elevation turrets are mushy and do not click. However they turn hard enough that they hold the settings. Sight in as usual . . . just no clicks.
That price is good if your talking a new scope. Really not too bad if used in great condition.
Use a max of 7X when it gets fairly dark and the 40mm will be fine. I love Leupolds. --- SAWMAN
