Without hearing you feel bored in your life so hearing protection is very essential to all of us. Earplug is the key to protect hearing but how do we choose the right earplug?

Knowing how to properly insert ear plugs helps out as well. I didn’t know how for a long time. Pull up on your ear and compress the foam as much as possible. Then hold the plug in place as it expands and fills your ear canal.

And double up your protection for sure. You only get one set of eyes and ears.

There is nothing wrong with double hearing protection, but it only provides an extra 5db of protection. Most people think with they wear 30db plugs and 30db muffs they are getting 60db of protection. The reality is they are getting about 35db of protection. That is straight from 3m and OSHA,

No shit? Never heard of this. I didn’t think it was a straight addition problem but would have thought it was more than 35

Wish someone had told me about using hearing protection 50 years ago. Maybe my ears wouldn’t be ringing 27/7 and I could sleep without having to have some kind of noise going.
