Check out Just Right Carbines. They have an AR style carbine that can do conversions from 9mm, 40, and .45 for their guns. Pretty awesome setups and you can change it to left hand eject

Got a Glock 21. Check out the Mech Tech site. Lot less money.
My buddy has had one chambered in 357Sig for about 10 years now. Loves it !!
    A Glock 20/MT combo would be a great hog/deer slayer. --- SAWMAN
ADDED: Or a Glock 21/ MT combo with ammo loaded to 45Super pressures.

My brother had a Just Right in 45, it was NOT right at all. After one return to maker and two trips to gunsmiths, it still ripped open cartridges and leaked powder all in the action and mag. Seems the 45 versions have a real bad rep for being had to get to operate right! He sold it with full disclosure and ate the loss to get rid of it.

I had one of the mech tech carbines in 45acp for use with the 1911. As for accuracy and function it worked pretty well, but the recoil spring would ring inside the receiver/tube after each shot. Drove me crazy and had to part ways with it.

So it looks like everybody is using the mechtec conversion and the jr model with mixed results. So I'm guessing no ar45's must be too damm expensive or a train wreck. Thanks.

So for 1911 frame 10mm barrel about $600.

About 10 years ago, I put together a carbine using an Olympic 45 upper, but the mags are proprietary and expensive. But the Oly's are compatible with standard AR15 lowers.

I went this route to get a carbine that uses Glock mags:

My upper just arrived last Friday, now that turkey season is over, I can finish the project.

Should be fun with my Rugged 45 suppressor.

I heard the Just Right's were jamming with 45, too, and that the Mech Tech's were good to go. I had a Vector in 45, and sold it because I didn't want an SBR anymore and the mag conversion to 30 rounders were too expensive compared to 9mm 30 rounders

Tcw, tnw? There is one company making an ar like platform where you just change out the barrel for your caliber. I think it's 9, 40 and 45 compatible.
Available in rifle and pistol configuration.

I bought a Just Right Carbine in 9mm last year . Put over 1500 rds through it without a single failure of any kind , so I decided to try the .45 conversion for it even though I had read the mixed reviews. I talked with the folks at JRC before I ordered. They assured me they had fixed the problems from the earlier model .45 . So far it's been just as reliable as the 9mm. I've seen none of the problems of the earlier. 45 models. Very happy with it. Thinking now about getting the 10mm conversion.
