E101E2E7-CD0C-42BB-8497-8D7C56A575B5.jpg I have been carrying my new to me Glock 26 around the house the last couple days in a Comptac Kydex holster that a member here gave me. On the inside of the holster above the belt line is piece of plastic that is not too comfortable on my fat side. What is it for? Is it just to help re-holstering? Has anybody removed that piece on a similar holster? I realize the top of the slide would now rub on my skin but it seems it would be more comfortable.

Looks like it’s just a sweat guard. It’s there to protect the finish of the slide but that one looks a little high to be comfortable. This is mine in my T-Rex Arms holster.

You should just be able to trim the material to a comfortable length and sand it smooth.
