Got this in a trade. 30-30 NIB! Came with 260 rds of softpoint ammo. Barnes, hornady leverlution, federal, remington. Too good a deal to passup!
After cleaning my neighbor's 32 and getting the 410 lever I wanted my own lever deer rifle. Had been looking at these since they came out. Just thought it was cool.
I like the safety, right on the grip no futzing with the trigger guard. Top eject, to the side. Fiber optic sights are green rear and red front. Regular sight not a buckhorn. Tapped for scope, 336 mounts work. Imagine that. Threaded barrel w/ birdcage. 28x1/2. Poly stock with small rails on front. AR adjustable stock. (ATI) Stock has some wiggle, oversized recoil pad. Will try to shoot tomm.

It's got a Serenity vibe that I dig! Also, I'm saving trees! Lol. Ya never know I may put a mlok rail on it... :) they used to come with a full cheese grater rail.

You need a Rossi Ranch Hand if you’re going for Serenity vibes! Zoe’s weapon of choice.

Shot one a year or so ago, cool gun. Little more shoulder thump then a level gun with wood. Action on it seemed a bit ruff at first but smoothed out after some time. I think my buddy still has it and shoots it regularly.

Stocks a bit "wiggly" don't like it. Tried two other stocks one of the old GI basic one locks up tight. (go figure) Suggestion's on how to snug up. It's the sliding adjustable stock, has a cool cheek rest.

Switched it with another ATI stock i have and it locks up tight. The factory one was crap! Might still swap the tube and use the blade stock. Thinking. Not much of a pad on it though. But it is ultra light and points very well. Took the bottom rail off, it was digging into my shoulder when slung.

Added red dot. Dont know if it would be better further back or not. Might be in the way of the ejection. May put one of my see all sights on it. Could only find one scope mount locally. #403 94 win. Need 2 for optic. Then going to have more weight. Trying to stay light.
I think this is the smallest tube red dot made?

LOL that stock almost seems to be a sacrilege on a lever gun. But alas 'O tempora o mores'. The times they are a changing lol.

If you like it then it what you want that counts lol.

    How 'bout a WINCHESTER 88 .243

In .284 winchester and note the rebated rim.
The .284 Winchester is a commercially unsuccessful cartridge that has enjoyed a resurgence due to interest from long-range competitive shooters.[2] Introduced by Winchester in 1963, the .284 Winchester was designed to achieve .270 Winchester and .280 Remington performance from the new Winchester Model 100 autoloader and Winchester Model 88 lever-action rifles.

The end result was a 7 mm cartridge with about the same overall length as the .308 Winchester but with a wider body, that yields a powder capacity about the same as that of the .270 Winchester and .280 Remington.[

Just got back from my 2nd trip to the woods using the SPX. Really good for moving thru brush and hiking. Loving the ultra light weight. Fold the stock up short and sling diagonally across the back. Stock is behind your hip and barrel only sticks up about an inch on your shoulder. Glide thru thick brush and doesn't dig into your back. The lower forward rail is removeable, took it off. Very nice. Now if I can get a deer in front of it!

*** Took the rail covers off and used the rubber slotted rail covers, much better.
