I saw these guys mentioned on TFB. They offer a service to convert the AAC 51T mounts to direct thread or to use Omega thread pattern mounts. I've gotten away from the 51t stuff so my SDN-6 has been sitting for awhile. I sent it in to them for the Omega conversion. It was just over a week from the time I sent it until it was back in hand. The can looks new and with the Omega threads I've got way more flexibility. Very happy with the service. They're only on FB as far as I can tell.

Chop off the ratchet mount, install new thread adapter, weld it on, refinish in moly resin. The can is pretty much the same length/ weight but now it works with way more of my guns. I've got a specwar 556k that I'm thinking about doing as well.

Give me a few and I'll get some pics. Thread where I heard about them, it's about half way down the page.:
