Rossi stainless .410 levergun. Picked it up today. Shoots 2.5 inch shells. Looks and feels just like a 336. Looking forward to shooting it. Smooth bore, dont know how its choked, cylinder bore, mod or full. Depends where you read on the internet. I'm betting the hornady critical defense 410's will shoot real good in it. They do very well out of the judge, governor and the circuit judge that I already have. Should make better power too. (20 inch barrel)

That's neat... I have one in .44 Mag. I took the entire thing apart fluff and buffed every part. Replaced the rear sight. Replaced the mag spring and mag follower to stainless. I also removed that retarded safety on the top slide with a stainless plug. Runs smooth as butter!

I think this is an early one. Model 840 or something still reading up on it. Not much out there. Bought some #9,slugs and hornady critical defense. 2.5 shells. Also will shoot federal handgun 410 as well. Holds 6- 5+1

I've wanted one of those for a long time, but never seen one in the wild! That was a nice find. Let me know if you want to part with it.

The only thing I'd swap for is one in .44 mag or 45 colt! Soon as I finish all my honey do's I'm shootin! Pi led up a 500 count box of hornady hp 45's that need to be loaded and shot (44.00) on clearance at academy!

No shooting today. So I started looking/oiling. This thing is tighter than dicks hatband. Previous owner said he shot it 5 times and put it back in the box. I think he told the truth. Prob need to cycle it about 500 times. If I knew more about the action I could polish it a bit. Last levergun I had I was 16 so don't know my way around these very well.

Ok whose bright idea was it to use a chintzy plastic follower in the tube?
My toothpaste has a stronger cap...Would also like to get a stainless spring as well. Pouring rain here dammit!

i been wanting one of these in .357mag. it would partner nicely with my 586 4"bbl... gets good reviews, and a fair bit less than a Henry... although i'd rather have a Henry. wife would prolly use it on me.

Yea I saw that there is plenty of Henry's out there in .410 also. When I got my .44 Mag Rossi. I thought about getting it in .357 but opted for the .44

Shot today. Federal pistol buckshot 000 2.5 inch was the clear winner. 25 yards hand size pattern. Shot mistletoe out of the oaks with #9. 21 feet or so hard to gauge distance. So I feel inside 25 yards it's a killer. (Buck) I would use it for yard pests an coons but not deer.

Put about 60 rounds thru it. The hornady critical defense 410 did not do as well as it does in the governor or the judge.(rifled) Very pleased with it but would swap it for a 357, 44 or 45 lever.
Need to pull it apart and polish the feed ramp. I noticed you need to cycle it with authority, no weak wrist crap.

Looked up the Henry 410 $700.....wow

Forgot to bring the slugs! Dammit

    $700 but it's a Henry. :)

Our Rossi's are like a Keltec it's neat but out of the box it's a POS. You will have to go though it and fluff and buff and maybe spend some more money on it to make it a fine running machine.

I did that to my Rossi and keltecs and now they are flawless. BUT it takes some work to get them there.

Yep. I have the circuit judge. Not too impressive till I swayed the barrel and found it to be .452 switched bullets and is fantastic. .452 ftx = dead critters popped this one at over 75 yards. Even got the Hollywood flip. DRT.

Took the .410 apart, slathered red polish on the moving parts sprayed oil all inside. Watched two movies while working the action over and over and over. Much smoother now. Have to scrub all the crap out and see. Can work the action with one finger now.

I have no big use for a lever action shotgun in the USA, but in australia pump guns are not legal for most people there, but lever guns are legal and I bet they sell a lot of them over that way.
