This is why I don't like gun ranges, if I had to shoot on a range all the time I would sell most of my guns. Heck back in the day we use to drink beer throw our cans in the creek and shoot them until they sank. Fun times if you have never done that then you're not living.

If you got a place for that let me know. Sounds like more fun than paper. Me and my grandfather did that with mt.dew cans while fishing when I was a kid.

Maybe we are on to something The Beer Can Gun Club lol, it doesn't appear our original plan Baldwin County IDPA is going anywhere. All we need is a creek and beer!

We get large enough, maybe IDPA will incorporate us as a redneck division.
Until then its bud and bullets.

if I were y'all, i would check into these guys, http://mpsa.us If this is the baldwin county, alabama, it wouldnt be a long drive for yall to shoot with these guys. USPSA is great fun, action filled practical shooting. You will be hooked after the first time. Go check with those guys and then go from there with your own club. Just my 2 cents.

I want to revive this thread. It has come to my attention, via one of our members, that there is a firearm training facility in Magnolia Springs called Tac-Site (http://www.tac-site.com/) and that the owner is not opposed to the idea of holding some sort of matches there.

The first caveat is that there has to be significant interest, the second is that the matches might have to be held under the guise of "training" for insurance purposes, so they might not be actual official (USPSA/IDPA/IPSC/USCA) matches.

So first, who all would be interested in doing some sort of competitive shooting at this facility and what is your match style preference?

I would. Part of not going to too many IDPA matches is the distance and waking up early to drive there.

I'd like to toss out my vote for a USPSA style match. Since there is already a well-run IDPA an hour away, but the closest USPSA match is about an hour and a half, I'd like to have USPSA closer.

I'm in 100%!!!!!!!! Jeep the member you talked to is a good friend of mine I hope this gets going. It doesn't matter to me if it's USPSA, IDPA, IPSC, etc. I'm in.

If it's USPSA and around 150 rounds I would possibly be interested.

Interested for sure and frankly, I like the idea of affordable training/shooting regardless of the branding or labeling.

    But that's just me
