    10.5 5.56 1/8 uppers, complete, quad rail $240

I needed some SBR AR lowers in short order (first world problems! Am I right?!). These uppers came off of those. I got them from a shop in TX that says they were LEO trade ins. Best I can tell:

Barrel is 10.5ish, carbine gas, gov profile under the handguard. The one I can see is marked 1/8 5.56. I'm assuming both are the same.
9" YHM handguard or a reasonable facsimile
Unknown upper with M4 cuts. Upon some googling, it would seem it's a "mueller industries" upper.
    Standard charging handle
    Semi auto, phosphate bcg.

These have been used but doesn't appear to be abused. There are some scratches on the handguards. I've not shot these but it would appear they're ready to drop on and shoot.

$240 for the upper and the SBX or I've got a KAK bladded palmetto lower if buyer is interested.

ONE LEFT AND THE SBX IS STILL AVAILABLE

does the carbine gas block work with pistol buffer/tube?? in all the looking I've done I just guessed you needed to keep the system matching?

Short version: If you put this on a lower and use the sig buffer tube with a standard carbine buffer and spring, it'll work.

Gas length/buffer tube length aren't directly tied together.

Carbine gas system refers to gas port location/length of the gas tube. The shorter the gas tube, the higher pressure the BCG will get and will generally but a longer dwell time(but that's dependent on barrel length too).

The "pistol" buffer tube is the normal "carbine" tube without the channel for stocks. The length is the same and will use the standard carbine length buffer and springs.

There are proprietary buffers and tubes out there and it doesn't help that "carbine" and "pistol" are used in the descriptions for both.

I've gotta do some SAR diving today but will come get it in a day or 2... would you pick me out the one you think is best of whats available for me considering bolt, handguard and all that other AR stuff... I trust your judgement... thanks brother...

One gone. I think you'll want to keep the SB that's on the lower you got. What you have combined with this upper will be a "pistol" ready to shoot.

Inside diameter for the handguard is 1.75". The threads on the current barrel are in front of the handguard. Unless you're muzzle device is a reflex or you're swapping barrels, it shouldn't matter.
