Pic of sale add below....10% off every gun, an additional 5% if you use a military Star (credit) card. I was there today to buy a rifle, I was asked kindly if I really wanted it today....I asked why and the exchange associate reminded me of the upcoming sale and said if I wanted it they would put my name on it and off to the safe it went. I just have to show up on Oct 25/26 to fill out the paperwork and pay for it. Saved me around $200.

Good to know. With some patience and some google those sale prices are just OK though. I've got some M2.0s for sale for $415 OTD. Cough Cough.

You can go to the exchange Web site and get on the distribution for Weekly sales Flyers. Its about a Week advance notice. Ever since Exchanges were directed to maintain prices close to those in the civilian community, the only real deal is the tax break. IMHO

Never found any gun deals over there. Went over multiple times up until about 2005.
Back in the day when they had reloading stuff there WAS some good deals to be had though.
No tax is good but OTD is still OTD.
If I'm gonna travel,MUCH,MUCH, better deals to be had at Jimmy's in FWB. --- SAWMAN

I went to Gander's 40% off sale yesterday. Their WCOA radio ad states the entire store is 40% (ya right) off. Well ammo is 15% off (there's a bait and switch lie right off the bat) and if you start with an inflated price to begin with, well there is no savings. After I calculated the price on ammo and found no deals I didn't look at anything else in their "40% off sale". Is anyone surprised they're going out of business . . . . again? As far as Hurlburt Field BX 10% off sale, same scenario. If they start with an inflated price to begin with, well you know the drill. Anyway, I just bought the Hurlbert $135 "on sale" Sig Sauer Romeo 5 red dot at Palmetto State Armory shipped free to my door, no sales tax, didn't have to drive 50 miles, and received it in three days for $120. So much for the Hurlbert sale. My only point is use the internet as a resource to your advantage. It's not just for porn. For the first time in my life I can shop the WORLD and get free shipping.

I have mixed feelings about posts like this... for the most part I feel it’s important to support our local gun shops. I refuse to be
“price-gouged”, but if the prices are “close” to online prices I will almost always buy from the local gun shop. That’s just my 2 cents worth.

Over where? The Hurlburt BX has never had reloading stuff or gun until this year.

Tyndall AFB has a so-so variety of guns, ammo and accy too. I haven't found anything there I like where the price and tax break would trigger my purchase. If interested you can sign up for their weekly and Special Sales Flyers too.
