I'm currently building an Ammo Display to show the various ammo for the weapons I own. Been a slow process to say the least.

Commercial ammo is easy to find, some milsurp ammo or old ammo can be a nightmare.

I've found 2 of the final 4 hard to find cartridges. Those two being the Swiss 41 aka 10.4×38 (Swiss Vetterli round), and the 577 Snider-Enfield cartridge. I'm still looking for the following two cartridges.

8x57J Early style round nose 8mm cartridge, this was used in the GEW 88 rifles originally.

    And

8x50R this is what was originally used in the Steyr Mannlicher before it was changed to the 8x56R

So if anyone has one of the two rounds I'm looking for please reach out to me.

Are you making something like this? My ammo display. I have so much I forget what I have...

Some I bought alot was given to me.

Check gun broker in the ammo area. You can all kinds of collectors ammo there.

Exactly, except mine will be only for the 30 different cartridges for the weapons I currently own. This way I don't end up with a whole wall of ammo. I've got enough stuff to put back in the room and on the walls after the repairs are done.

BTW one hell of a nice dispaly you have there. If I needed to display that much ammo for my weapons collection, my wife might have a freshly dugged hole for me in the back yard. My wife originally came up with the ideal, as some of the kids and people that have seen my collection are curious as to what size the "Bullet" is for such and such gun.

Here's the list of ammo to be displayed based on my current weapons.

    Need still:
