    Now days there are published loads galore and a careful person should not get hurt from reloaded cartridges. Here is a .45 long colt cylinder from a revolver that Elmer blew up when he was a young man starting out. I have seen a cylinder from a .44 magnum pistol with the same identical damage. Usually caused by too much of a very quick power typically loaded to max volume capacity with a heavy bullet on top.

    A very Lucky guy is about all I can say. I would say stupidity, but since it occurred in the 20's, they didn't know what we know nowadays.
