Remove it and replace it with a pic type forend?
Needs to be shorter anyway if I'm ever gonna put a can on it. The diameter is small and the threads only stick out 1/2 inch. Was considering buying the octane 9. I don't think it would fit.

Looks like a few screws to take out and then the barrel nut underneath. What kind of rail is that?

Looks like the two screws on the side of the rail closest to the receiver end. Probably two more on the other side and maybe two on the bottom

If those are Allen screws then make sure you use a tight fitting wrench that has not been rounded off any on the end

Got a vice block or reaction rod for your upper? You’ll need one if you get a handguard that requires a new barrel nut. Same thing with a breaker bar and torque wrench.

Just buy another complete upper. Then pick up a lower so you don’t have to swap them out. Rinse and repeat and repeat...

Yeah, I think I'm gonna leave it alone and just get better accessories/ mounts. Using no name crap.

Some stuff you can get away with but if you’re mounting stuff you’re gonna depend on, buy once cry once.
