LMAO! There's always a pursuit for a better mouse trap if there is profit potential. Most are just trying to snag a piece of trendy market share without Patient infringement. They (?) say variety is the spice of life but it also impedes Standardization. Some Mfr do Proprietary gear to keep profites flowing in their direction. This often sucks at the user level for accessory interchangabilty. Just don't chase the hot item of the month unless its going to bring some substantial benifit you absolutely need.
I never changed forends to Free Float, vanity custom, Skinny Bitch, Key Mod or M-LOK. I don't put a couple pounds of crap up front either. There's adapters for just about any combination of base to accessory at the cost of thickness and weight. I do prefer QD Lever mounts on Rail.

I like the pic rail. Less BS adaptors to buy. With the rail it's on solid, just add some slide on covers and your done. Seems like I can never get the damm keymod stuff to mount solid. Ahhhhhh locktight!
