Vertical smoker built out of a 150 gallon propane tank

    PM for contact

    $500 trade value

I built this several years ago and never got around to doing the finishing touches. I cooked on it one time with propane. It has 2 slide gates on the bottom in case I wanted to use charcoal. One vertical to dump the ash and one horizontal to adjust airflow/heat. 4 cooking racks. The tank is 30” in diameter and either 1/4” or 3/16” thick. I welded 3/8” nuts on the inside every few inches on the inside. I then screwed in stainless bolts to hold the racks. This allows you to move the racks depending on what you are cooking. Cam lock latches on the door.

When I used it I borrowed a friends wood chip container so that is not included. Also a charcoal basket would still be needed to be a coal burner. All the hard work is done.

I don’t have to get rid of it and don’t “need” anything but just seeing what may be out there. Trade interest mainly would be semi auto handguns or rifles. Glock, M&P, CZ , AR etc. Located at my parents house in Foley but I live in FL. I can help load and transport if needed to get a deal done. This thing has a lot more cooking surface than you would think. If my math is correct a standard 22” Weber kettle has 380square inches of cooking surface. I think my grates are about 28.5” times 4 so this has 2,552 square inches of cooking grate. That is almost 7X more cooking surface than the Weber.

For the right trade one can be negotiated:). I have been meaning to spray the outside with Ospho but have not got around to it. Nothing on this thing is anywhere near “rusted out”

I was just picking at ya. It's nice. Somebody who needs a real smoker will be well served by this one
