    Remington M700 Tactical 6.8SPC

    PM

Price reduced to $450 without scope and mount. Add $100 for Swift 4-12x scope and mount.

Most Remington M700's in 6.8SPC were a 24" heavy bbl, heavy and awkward to carry, this one isn't. This is the Tactical model with a 22" fluted bbl. I don't believe many in this configuration were made. Fired 413 slow fire rounds. Bore appears new. Few spots of missing finish on trigger guard. Includes 170+ rounds tailored to the rifle, if the buyer wants, otherwise I'll shoot them in my other 6.8's. The magazine will handle up to an OAL of 2.33". The loads I use are 2.275-2.280" oal. This one by serial number is subject to the Remington trigger recall, but a fellow forum member that does M700 work went over the trigger to ensure it was safe.

Only selling to help pay for my Swiss P49 pistol I recently got. Might consider a trade for a nice Swiss military rifle at the same value. Fl resident or FFL holder.

This "could" get 3200 out of one of my Barnes 85's I would guess.
Think of this gun as a 270Win with a travel ban for out west for elk and mule deer. Shooting the 110gr Barnes TSX it would be great medicine for anything but.
Best of luck with the sale of this weapon Bruce. If I didn't have a 18" AR I would be all over this. ---- SAWMAN

It's too bad I'm not down in Florida, I'd really like to have this. When you're done you could even re-barrel it to a 224 Valkyrie because they share the same bolt face.

    SPC or SPCII specs?

SPC, but that's why I mentioned the magazine length. You can handload with an OAL of longer than 2.26". My test loads shot best at 2.275-2.28" oal when using Hornady 120gr SST bullets.

I think I have an extra set of 6.8 dies (minus the shell holder) and certainly have a "bit" of FC brass that comes with the rifle. The bore looks new, as I am a nut when it comes to not getting bbls hot, using my bbl cooler fan with a hose that goes into the chamber to blow cool air through the bbl.

Yeah . . . he gets pretty "anal" about his barrels.
Bruce has super clean guns and has good documentation as to shots fired and with exactly what (specs). He does not overload and allows ample cooling and applicable lubrication and cleanliness.
His guns absolutely love him. In fact, whomever buys this gun should keep it locked up for the first couple of weeks cuz it might try to make it's way back home to Bruce's. ---- SAWMAN

DAMN !! Hard to believe no takers for this weapon Bruce. And with the ammo and extra's.
The prospective buyer needs to take a look and shoulder this weapon.
But then . . . "who has ever even heard of the 6.8SPC." Uhhhhhh . . . the hog and deer hunters among us. --- SAWMAN
