My SWAG: Starting point was a Traffic Stop. If this BG was "geared up" to go do bad things somewhere and was interupted by LE pulling him over: it would be hard to explain. So maybe BG decides to start shooting right there. Normally fleeing suspects don't waste time and ammo targeting civs. Since he switched from his vehicle to a USPS truck (minivan) and kept up the random shooting rampage: his gear/ammo went with him. We will see the social media dump with likes this and hates that crap and maybe the trend to put a manifesto of rambling discontent and anti whatever and it may well be someting other than a rolling random assault and the traffic stop may actually have prevented a worse direct attack on a high population soft target.

EDIT add: Traffic Stop was for failure to use Turn Signal. BG might not have know the reason and may thought it was for someting else (his Plan?).

Is it coincidence that he drove to the Cinergy Entertainment Complex (theater, bowling, large scale games, food/drinks) where he was finally killed in a shootout by LE?

^^^^ Above photo probably taken while looking for "suspect" due to confusion when First car was abandoned. BG fled from ther in postal van. I don't see any problem with riled cops as long as people comply with what thay are told to do. Notice, I didn't say "asked to do." Haven't heard of any LE vs civ incidents during this event. No harm, no foul.

Social media agenda hacks are screaming for BGs name so they can spread the blame/responsibility for the shooting entities they hate. They are already using the 30 YO White guy angle to play the Race Card: 68% of the event area population is people of Color so he is a white supremacist, unusual LE killed a White shooter while they kill so many unarmed black men, GOP failure to implement protects future mass shooters, Trump's fault, McConnell's fault, NRA's fault. Don't ever racially profile the actions of a person of Color or ethnicity or the Left will have a go hysterical but a white criminals actions are fair game to profile all whites.

Its pretty obvious who committed the crimes but the media talking heads, Presidential wannabes and social media justice warriors want to use the blood to lube their agendas into a blame game and force the "gotta do someting" and all white folk are the enemy.
You can bet the ACLU will File a FOA if the BGs info is not released soon.

The Odessa/Midland criminal was a 36-yr-old white guy, apparently. Not that it really matters. There are criminals in every shade of skin-tone. This will get blamed on the inanimate object he used, though. We all know that.

Along that line of thinking: "This tragedy could've been prevented if US Postal vehicles had biometric operation safeguards to prevent unauthorized use. For far too long, US Postal vehicles have been effectively left unsecured in public. This tragedy could've been stopped if only common sense safety measures were implemented to ensure only a US Postal employee could operate the vehicle. Retinal scans and fingerprint authentication for every driver would've saved lives. It's obviously the vehicle manufacturer's fault, and they should be held responsible."

Just screaming for MORE GUN CONTROL.... You will see this shooting for weeks on the news and liberal agenda platforms BUT pay attention, I have not seen 1 world news report (only local news and its died out now) of Mobile AL active shooter who shot 10 (no one died but just as evil) because he was 17 and of course was not legally in possession of firearms so it doesn't fit their agenda!!! News media disgusts me!!!

Can't believe the news actually let out the Texas shooter was DENIED buying a gun by not passing a background check so now they are investigating how he obtained the firearm... You mean enforcing the already on the books gun laws don't stop shootings??? UNBELIEVABLE!!!

More then likely he bought the guns from a personal sale so get ready for them to throw mandatory background checks on personal gun sales through an FFL!!!

Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Walmart announced Tuesday it will stop selling certain styles of ammunition nationwide -- one month after a shooting at a West Texas Walmart location killed nearly two dozen people.
Under the new rules, the company said it would sell off its current inventory and discontinue sales of handgun ammunition and short-barrel rifle ammunition, such as the .222 caliber and 5.56 caliber, which can be used in some hunting rifles and large-capacity clips for military-style weapons.

We believe these actions will reduce our market share of ammunition from around 20% to a range of approximately 6 to 9%. We believe it will likely drift toward the lower end of that range, over time, given the combination of these changes

we are respectfully requesting that customers no longer openly carry firearms into our stores or Sam’s Clubs in states where “open carry” is permitted – unless they are authorized law enforcement officers.

It boggles my mind when a certain group of misguided folks march on DC to protest what they perceive as unfair abortion laws then turn around and march for more gun control to protect the children. They weren't worried about protecting the child when they had the abortion.
