Here you go Indy, as per your request.

Part of a group of rifles, (The Model JC, a reduced weight Vz24 with slimmer barrel and stock, and the stock notched for turned down bolt knob), made for South China (1929-1930) and not paid for, chambered in 7mm.

15,000 of these rifles were sold to Brazilian Revolutionaries during the 1932 Sao Paulo uprising and intercepted by Government Forces.

The PM05362.4 number is the Policia Militar inventory number. The PM number on the rifle points to the rifle being 1 of 15,000 sold to Brazilian Revolutionaries by Czechoslovakia after the Chinese defaulted on payment for these rifles. The rifles never made it to the Revolutionaries instead being intercepted by government forces.

The bayonet is marked CSZ over C on the blade.

These rifles were not stored in the best of conditions and are hit or miss. Some are in pretty good condition, and some are pitted monstrosities. Regardless they are a part of history and are small in number.

That is outstanding... Love rifles like that that changes hands like that..

And thats cool it has a China / Brazil connection.. Nice that the police were "kind" enough to mark it.

Wow, have you heard anything what happen to them after being captured. Many thanks awesome photos..

It's assumed the Brazilian government forces used them for some time, before being put in storage. The PM number is believed to be a Policia Militar (Military Police) inventory control number used for tracking/accountability purposes. Some are found with a stock number on the stock, and some with rack numbers. A weapon is a weapon and when you get 15,000 new rifles paid for by the rebellion you just squashed, why not use them.

Some interesting reading on the Brazilian Policia Militar.

Have you ever heard of any that were converted to 30-06 like the Brazilians did with their own rifles..

Not that I've seen, but you never know. I believe the only Mausers they converted to 30-06 were reworked 1908 Mausers, that they designated as the Mauser Mq .30 M954.
