I received a gun from River City Pawn and Jewelry. I don't know who it's for. They said it was purchased from a gunbroker listing but it wasn't bid on. It was bought over the phone after the auction ended. It took them a few days to get me a name and the only person I can think of with that name says it's not his. I've checked emails/texts/pms and I can't find any reference to that dealer or that type of firearm. PM/text or call if it's yours and I'll get you taken care of.

One of my fears is ordering a gun and forgetting about it. So far the only problem I have had is, friends asking me if I still have an XYZ gun and I didn't remember seeing such a gun, let along having owned it. Then a few weeks later while I was rummaging through a closet or some corner stash, looking for something I lost and discover the XYZ gun I was asked about owning.

moved an old sewing cabinet a few months ago, a gun fell out that I thought was long gone....forgot I owned it, and where I put it.

The reason I tell my FFL before I order a gun, that way I don't blindside him. Also I send the seller a letter with my name, address, phone number etc, to include with the shipment just incase my FFL brainfarts. Hell we are all human and forget stuff now and then

To me it's just common courtesy.

This thread just makes me want to find the weirdest gun purchase possible, specifically so I can have it delivered "anonymously" to Nate's.

*beeeeeep, beeeeeep, beeeeeep* as the flatbed backs up into his driveway...
Nate yelling: "Who the f?!$ ordered a howitzer?"

Nate, your probably on one of several Web FFL geo-listings and some first timer just picked you for receipt/transfer and didn't know proper procedures. Normally the shipper wants a Fax of your FFL to verify before shipping. On the Web, a lot of sites list the FFL# with most of the numbers blacked out but the rest work in the FFL Verify Lic system. Thats why Seller didn't contact you either.

As long as it's within you Lic classification no problem. What are you charging for monthly storage fees? Lol

How does my Colt SAA look?

Like was said before, probably a first timer that just picked your name from a drop down box. I’m sure he will contact you eventually.

Just curious on this situation as well. Hope you are not out money because of something like this? What's the normal procedures for a transfer that doesn't happen etc...?
