I’ve been wanting to get an AR-10 for quite a while (13 yrs to be exact). I’ve researched accuracy reports on different ones and especially interested with the rifles during the M110 military trials (Armalite Super SASS, Larue OBR, KAC SR-25, LMT etc). Well I found a Armalite AR-10A - (T) that takes the PMAGS locally and could not turn down the asking price. Luckily I had a Leupold MK 4, monopod and Harris bipod laying around that was perfect to throw onto this rifle.

I had a chance to took it to the range yesterday and was very surprised with the accuracy. I’m a decent shot as I got a lot of trigger time on some of my match .22lr rifles (Winchester 52B, Remi 40X - HB, etc). I only had 2 types of ammo (168gr BTHP Sierra match reloads and Hornady Match 168gr BTHP).

I used the reloads for sighting and the Hornady for accuracy testing and here are 2 five shot groups off of a bipod at 100yds. I only had a box of these so I was limited of shooting more. I don’t think I could do any better if I were to use my Farley rest or a bolt gun. I definitely believe the hype that I’ve read on these on line and found a keeper!

No doubt. I Would like to take it out to 600-1000. Kinda disappointed with some of the ranges around here...I was hoping there would be more longer ranges. I seen the member prices at these ranges are high and there is waiting lists etc. I will probably just have to take it on Hurlburt Field since I have a annual membership, even though it only goes to 200.
