I figured I would start a new thread to document my progress.

Ok like I posted in the NFA thread. I got my Tax Stamp back (Form 1) to remove the fake suppressor on the yes another MP5 I own. I gave you all a chance to own this beauty up for sale a while ago no interested and did not break my heart so I kept it and do what I do best make these look great.

Well started with removing the fake can. I knew where the pin was but I did not expect it to be so fat. I was excepting a thinner pin either way it's coming out. First I took it easy with a small dental grinding tip to expose the pin. After that I got the small cutting wheel and started working my way down enough so I could heat and pull the pin out. I was trying to keep the fake can in the best shape possible... Don't know why I just wanted too. A frined did mention that they wanted it so it's still usable. Could easy built that messing metal back up and finish.

    Here are some pics...

    .
Next up once I got it where I knew I could get a good hold of that pin is to start applying heat. It's amazing what heat does to make that pin move like butter. LOL It pulled right out no issues.

    .
So know more heat is needed to pull the fake can off. It was on there pretty good. But again heat and a little persuasion came off pretty easy.

Now to fill the pin hole and finish up to match the MP5 and then let the transformation began...

And my Gemtech multi-mount fits nice.

So the end story. My plan is to set this one up like this with the fore end light. I just have to do some research because some of them get in the way of attaching a suppressor.

And some day I will have the whole collection.

Next Step. Got some parts in. New Keymod hand guard installed and then mounted the Light / Laser Combo and the reddot sight with the low profile rail.

Found this gem on ebay cheap. Not $500 like the surefire is. Looks pretty kool won't be able to mount suppressor but it was cheap I could not pass it up. Cost like $40.

    It even works. LOL

Here is Felica as someone on here called it... Still need to fill the hole where the pin was on the three lug mount and paint the end of barrel.

Ok she is pretty much done. Filled the pin hole where the fake can was pinned n welded on and touched up the barrel end.

I have three ways I can go with it, but I like them all. LOL :) :)

I like the a2 with light, but I think suppressor clearance would be an issue.

    I vote classic A2

Out of those 3. A2 with light. The keymod rail itself is not bad but with that light hanging down it looks blocky/clunky and out of place to me. Maybe a more streamlined light or different position would help

No Bobcat Weapons (FA Ready) very very rare to find. One out of the two best USA made MP5 Clones I own. The other is the MP5SD by TPM Outfitters .

Just think I had this up for sale on here before I SBR'd it. Glad it did not sell. :) :)

This suppressor is one of my 9mm's the Gemtech Multi-Mount. Bought this baby back in 2000 and still kicking along.

Yeah, they are definitely not cheap for pre 86 stuff... I've been trying to talk Nick at Title II into buying a postie, because well, full auto mp5... lol

I would love to have a trigger pack but my wife would say I'd have to sell my collection in order to do so. And I have money that says if I were to sell, she would find another use for said money instead. Tempting, but no thanks. Full auto Uzi's aren't that bad in comparison though...
