I’m thinking of ordering some Rtic Ice. (The blue plastic containers filled with some kind of gel.)
    Anybody use the stuff?
Is it any better than a frozen 2 liter Coke bottle?

I use an RTIC medium size one in my lunch cooler, seems to do the trick better than other ice packs I've tried. I would say it's better than a froze coke bottle just for the space you save!

I prefer the solid packs and RTIC runs regular sales so got two of them for like $15! The solid packs keep their form vs the soft packs having to be laid out flat in the freezer to keep a low profile form. That's been my experience anyways!

Depends on what you want to use it for. But you can't beat a frozen 1 or 2 liter coke bottles or even a gallon jug. Especially if you happen to break down miles out in the gulf, you'll have that extra amount of drinking water.
