Article says that software vendor that Camping World uses may ban selling product to companies that sell "military style weapons" and "high capacity magazines" .

Puts Camping World between a rock and a hard place. Buying new software and converting their operations to a new product is going to cost them millions.

Another attack on our Second Amendment by the socialist progressives in the "beautiful people" state!

Nothing the elite privileged folks and their minions do surprises me any more.

That software is used buy a lot of companies. Seems to me that a "policy change" targeting a narrow commodity that is lawful in commerce could be challanged in Court and even be a Class Action Lawsuit due to the wide impact. Breach of contract cn apply as this would not fall within normally allowed "software changes" it is a new restriction placed on businesses under threat of denial of service, forcing another to act against their will.

Depends if camping world has to renew contract every year or two. If the software company includes it in future contracts, but let's them serve out current one, then there's little that can be done legally. If camping world wants to continue selling stuff that is restricted by that software, then they are free to find another software provider instead of renewing contracts.

If there software company tries to enforce this under existing contract, then there's legal ramifications. Hopefully, camping world finds another provider for there sales software. I like my discounts at gander outdoors.

Some club prices are still more expensive than academy or online. Granted they do have a killer deal here and there. It's good to have it but I can go through life without it

This business threat could be on Bibles, cable providers that have "conservative or religous programming", services to "charter schools", any number of things the "Left" doesn't like and wants to squeeze. Weaponizing commerce just as google and youtub did and many credit/bank card companies want too do. Won't be the last either.

It’s all about the power to force compliance, the liberal left wants complete power over everything, even what a person thinks. What you see on tv is about as far from reality as it can get. It’s hard to believe that folks have let it get this screwed up. I fear there is no chance of a peaceful end to this push for total control.

I stopped in at Gander today and asked them about this. They said it was bs and they were not going to stop selling. So some of you that were worried about it can sleep a little better tonight.

Zeroed, I don't believe that it will be a local store decision or even whether the locals know what is in the mind of the decision makers at corporate. I truely hope that it is not the case and corporate bows to the Cal progressives. Gander is one of the only local stores that you can see and handle almost anything in firearms.

+1 ^^^ for the "see and handle" thing.
I will buy as cheaply as possible nowadays. It is a real bonus to have a "touchie-feelie" place in the area. At this point I do not owe my iligence to any LGS. --- SAWMAN
