I recently made a big cutting board for our kitchen, we wanted a really big one to go on a certain counter and having one made was pretty spending so I decided to make my own. It's not perfect but we really like it. Would love to make another one.

What a great thread. I have begun making walking sticks myself lol. I have made three so far. The first I gave to a colleague who was retiring. The second I gave to another former colleague. Those were more decorative and made of cedar. This one is more functional and made from hickory. E15763F8-5A81-4556-BF77-25432451F0DB.jpg

I like to find oak saplings that have vines around them when they were young, that formed the oak in spirals, I scuff all the bark off with an edge grinder wire wheel, stain them, coat with polyurethane, and Dremel bible verses in them.
