Legally they are not considered firearms. Anyone can buy or sell them and they can be shipped without a FFL.

Let it stay, brought a tear to my eye, killed more squirrels, and rabbits with one like it in the first 10 years of my life than I have in the last 45. Great gun!

Not a Firearm under Fed Regs, FL firearms definition includes "to expel a projectile by the action of an explosive". Some States like N.J., Illinois, and R.I. include them under "Firearms". They are "Dangerous Weapons" in N.D.. Lol

Yep. Looks like craigslist has stopped them and soon walmart won't sell them anymore, according to "the internet " I wore out two 880's growing up. They are great for small pests and loose dogs messing around your yard. They won't be back. I'm sure this one will need new seals and stuff, whole kits about 11$.

Very sad event. The "You'll shoot your eye out!" cliche warning is not enough, folks need to supervise those youngins until appropriate responsibility is demonstrated, but know temptation and judgement keep getting tested when not supervised. My brother and I hinted each other with dirt clods in air rifles, later with BB guns. That didn't last long after having to dig one out. Parents weren't watching but the Man Upstairs was and taught us a lesson we didn't forget. But, were also threw board darts at each other in defilaid and dodged lawn darts that we sharpended on a grinder so they would stick in stuff! Fact of Life: Kids do stupid stuff, should be a Thread like "Hold my beer"! Lol
