This isn't a #1V is it Joel ?? From the pics it doesn't look like the bbl is heavy enough. --- SAWMAN

No - it is a 1B - I am keeping my 1V rifles. For some reason I am able to shoot the heavy barreled guns better. I just talked to JJ (Oneshot), and he said he had a few boxes of 220 Swift ammo that he would sell.

I got a box in my safe (somewhere) that I have had since about 1981. Just kept it for nostalgia reasons I guess. Reminds me of the good times roaming the hay fields down in central Maine looking for woodchucks.
Here's something that most people do not know re. the Ruger #1V's. Ruger actually made a limited number of them chambered in 7mm Rem Mag and 300 Win Mag. Saw them both on the shelf at Kittery Trading Post in about '80 or '81.
If the person that buys your gun needs any load data,I still got tons of it that I will share with them. I believe that your gun is a 1:14 twist also.
I could shoot a 40gr out of my gun at 4300fps. --- SAWMAN

    Don't know Bob. I shot just several . . . "just because". Probably over a hundred . . . or so.
Found my ammo. Take a look at the advertised velocity on the box. The chambering next to it is a 223Rem. The Swift is somewhat faster than a 22-250. My gun (Savage 112J) was super accurate also. --- SAWMAN

I'm going to give SAWMAN a sporting chance..he is older and slower than I am.
A buddy of mine over your way used an M77VT in .220 to smoke those coastal deer over in your area.

I have a Zeiss 3-9X50 with Z6 retical just sittin' in my safe with nothing to do. Sure would go good with this gun.
Wondering if I could rent it. --- SAWMAN

Yes - you can borrow it if you want. No need to rent. Just let the barrel cool down a little between shots, and keep good notes on what works between 300 and 400 yards, and leave the scope on it when you return it.

I started breathing hard until I got to the part about the scope.
I'm awful glad that you live so far away and never get down this way to try to show it to me.
How about if I borrowed one of jj's NcStar scopes. --- SAWMAN
