Anyone know a range open within an hour of Gulf Breeze that I can sight in a couple rifles tomorrow? Everywhere I've checked is going to be closed and I fly out Friday back to work. Would like to get them sighted in before leaving so I can hunt when I get back. I need 100 yards or more. Thanks for any info.

What about the santa rosa shooting center just the other side of the river from ERGC. A membership is not needed to use it, just money. I assume they have 100 yards.

Last I heard the road was out to the PRPC due to the rain. Need be a guest just like at the ERGC.

I would look them up for details. I have never used it myself.
    RIFLE AND PISTOL

The new Santa Rosa Shooting Center now offers 22 Pistol and 15 Rifle shooting positions under 2 covered pavilions for plenty of protection from the elements. Both pavilions have handicapped shooting positions and cooling fans for everyone. Our Rifle Range offers 25-, 50-, and 100-yard target positions. Our Pistol Range has 7-, 15-, and 25-yard target positions.

Yeah I checked there and Styx. Both closed tomorrow. I don't know anyone at any of the clubs and I don't shoot enough to get my money's worth out of a membership.

Billy was able to step in and help me out today. He met me and gave me access to his personal range. Thanks again Billy. Did a little research and the rings on my mount are too high for the scope I'm trying to use. Gonna go buy a different mount tomorrow if I get time and give it another go soon.

Thanks a lot for the offer. I might take you up on that one day as I'm not a big fan of public ranges. Something about inexperienced people handling deadly weapons around me makes me uneasy. Might just go ahead and buy a membership to a club. That way I know there's at least a competent range master nearby and they vet the members properly. A few hundred bucks is worth ease of mind.

Heck, even well-regulated ranges have cluster-fubars on occasion.
ERML had a guy drop his Glock and it shot him in the belly a dozen years back.
At least it only hit the moron and not any other bystanders.
