Agreed 110%. I have yet to come across one single aspect of tourism that benefits me and mine.

The primary "benefit" is to employment of illegal aliens in hotels, restaurants, and so on. Depending on the state, there may be a hotel-motel tax, car rental tax, airport tax and others, but one study I read (can't find it right now) showed that the general taxpaying population is not better off for having tourism. Just like those who promote sports stadiums and other sports venues, it is a small group of people who benefit, and overall, the city or state is not better off for having tourists (or professional sports). Years ago, promoters in New Orleans concluded that since Houston had more tourists than New Orleans, it must be the Astros, Oilers, and the Astrodome that were the reason. Of course that was not true, but the Superdome was built and maintained at great cost to taxpayers of the whole state. I lived in Baton Rouge at the time, and I remember the claim that the pay toilets in the Superdome were going to generate huge revenues for the state. The professor of the Economics class I was taking at the time had a big laugh about that (it was before colleges mostly taught socialism.)

Like a slice of something at the delicatessen or General Fabian. They get you a little at a time and they never stop. P.R.C. Peoples Republic of California has been the test for legislation for the rest of the country. Look at California to see the future for firearms in the nation.

For the post about Jersey on page 2.....
"AHaha nobody turned any high capacity mags in actually"

I personally know people that got rid of high capacity mags. Jersey will prosecute you harder for that than most any other crime. That is a 100% serious statement. God forbid the Wehrmacht needed to visit your residence and you lived in Jersey.

The text of the bill would invalidate all 03 FFLs in the state, requiring even those with C&R licenses to to transfer their curio pieces through a "dealer".

The bill has a carve-out for "antique" firearms, but antiques are guns manufactured before 1899 and currently those are not controlled by the GCA and are not considered firearms.

I own no guns...I am a liberal gun grabbing democrat working undercover on gun forums to find out who owns them all, so I can call chuckie and turn names in...

He signed Teacher Carry into law. Can't complain much about that one.

"Teacher Carry" was gutted before it was signed: teachers in classrooms instructing students CAN'T carry (disqualified, can't Carry even when doing other School directed duties). That leaves: Admin/principal/vice, counselor and gym teachers if they got them, food service and janitor IF they volunteer, pass training and checks. Bay County Board of Education took the other Law authorized option and formally Opted Out like many other Anti-gun Boards and educators desired: teir priority is clear.

If I was a teacher I'd carry concealed and nobody would know. No way in hell I'm working as a teacher and not conceal carry especially in this day and age of undisciplined kids being raised by millennials!

With all the forkin' liberal teachers taking up good air space, they would be just itchin' to catch another teacher doing just that.
You would loose your job . . . never teach again . . . possibly go to jail . . . fined and lawyer fee'd to death . . . become a convicted felon . . . never vote again . . . never carry again . . .be great fodder for the libs to beat the rest of us with.

Just don't get caught. Carry like the non-permissive environment it is...

Counter point to the "Don't do it" argument: what if someone carrying "illegally" saved the lives of a bunch of kids? Then there's that whole "judged by 12 versus carried by 6" mentality, too.

To each his own. The media will vilify regardless of reality. But the ability to defend yourself and innocent bystanders is a matter of physics, not politics.

Yeah, kinda like the guy at the Pizza joint that saves his coworkers with a gun.
    BUT . . . .
It is against store policy to have a gun so he gets fired. Happens all the time. --- SAWMAN

No good deed goes unpunished. I'm sure the coworkers and/or their families are grateful.

One victory at a time... meanwhile, physics was on the side of the just.

So far this is what happens when antigun house bills hits the senate.

"So far"? Since when, just recently?
I wouldn't give any of the elected shills in Tallahassee any credit. They cave to the idiot chants of hormonal children whose brains aren't even fully formed, yet.

Wherever the political winds shift, you'll find those fair-weather politicians riding the popularity.

Thankfully, this one got tabled. The fact that it was even proposed means there's more BS where that came from...
