1935 Fabrique Nationale Mauser, built for Peruvian Gov't with intact government crest. Original 30 cal barrel was pulled. A .458 Win. Magnum barrel previously mounted in a Ruger #1 falling block was pulled from that firearm and installed in the Mauser. Threads shortened and recut, rechambered in .458 x 2" American. Barreled action was installed in a AAA Fancy grade, Quilted Maple stock with left hand cheekpiece and custom Brazilian Rosewood Forearm tip. This stock was purchased for 300 bucks in 1985, no idea what that piece of wood might be worth today. Bolt was jeweled and bolt has the checkered underside on the handle. Action was fitted for a Williams Aperture peep site, but the flange holding the slide broke and the rear sight needs to be replaced. Reloading dies for this caliber can be found at Midway USA.
