Looking to buy a Mil-Spec Ka-Bar knife, manufactured by Camillus or Ka-Bar, with stacked leather handle in excellent to very good condition. Not really interested in a pricey collectible as I plan to use it as a camping and woods knife. Would prefer black handle / sheath, but tan handle / sheath fine too.

    Thanks!

I've had my eye open for one too but from what I've seen, your best bet will be Amazon. You can usually pick one up there for around $65 or $70 and all the used ones I've seen are that price or more.

jj . . . If DesertRat does not want the blade,I will take it. However will surly give him first refusal.
In my time practically all the knives of this type that I saw were the Camillus brand. The Marines must have gotten issued all the K-Bars. --- SAWMAN

Would not surprise me if the Ka-Bar that JJ has is from the Recolutionary War, I think he was a gun runner w/ Paul Revere back then...just sayin’
Turns out these folks made the Ka-Bars under contract during WWII; Camillus, the Union Cutlery Co., Robeson (ShurEdge) Cutlery Co., and the PAL Cutlery Co.

It will be just another excuse to withdraw a thousand bucks from the savings account and go out and rummage thru jj's barn until I hear something calling my name. --- SAWMAN

oneshot- Thank you for the opportunity to purchase that beautiful piece of history. I just wouldn't feel comfortable using and abusing such a nice knife.

SAWMAN- Thank you for holding off until I made a decision. I appreciate it.

This beautiful piece of history is sold/gone.
It will reside in my safe until the next meeting/get together of the "Buzzards Society" at the "Goat Locker" at NAS.
At that time it will be presented to an "older than me" fart that used/carried one of these blades. AND . . . Used it extremely well.
Thanks much jj,for this piece of history. --- SAWMAN

This guy must be really really old. You think they’ll let him keep it at the old folks home? :peep::bolt:
