For you AK hunters looking for the ever rising milled AK variant this may be an option for you

    https://www.atlanticfirearms.com/products/ak47-rifle-milled-yugoslavian

Yes it is patterned on the Yugo M70 and that may be a turn off but I have experienced that the Yugo examples whether SKS or AK tend to be very over built and should last a lifetime.

Thing thing is that this is a milled foreign AK at well under 1k. Won’t always be so

    Good luck

Red has passed away according to Droski.
This post is his last one and I bid him a fairwell.
    God Speed to you Red!
See you on the other side!

    Copy/paste from Droski’s post-

“It's not something that he told people, but when Art was younger, he survived leukemia. However, the bone marrow transplant left him with a compromised immune system. When he contracted a lung infection in December, his body was unable to fight it off.”

I'm sorry to hear this as well. We traded guns about a year ago and talked for well over an hour about guns and Army life. I hate to hear it because he had just been promoted and was nearing retirement from the Army.

Yes, that's how I found out. I "went to him" looking for a surplus set of AK handguards. And his wife answered.

I didn't realize she was accessing his account. Maybe she got an email if you sent him a PM, and she responded to the link? Regardless, I hope she stumbles on all of the "pockets of condolences" scattered about the forum for his family. His passing is mentioned in a few separate threads. Seems like a lot of us have chatted with him in one way or another, and he left the same positive impression with us all.

Perhaps it would help her to know.

    It was via phone text.

I've considered pointing all this out to her, but my judgment so far is to just let it be what it is and not present her with another reminder that her husband is gone. Nothing is going to change that profound fact.
