the stated reason for the riots is the high gas tax...

truth is, the muslims need no excuse to riot and burn, part of their plan is to constantly disrupt life as normal

Vandals and rioters: almost as despicable as looters and child-molesters.

Really doesn't matter "why". Once you transition from a peaceful protest to actively destroying property (Especially police vehicles), you just made yourself an active threat to public safety and a viable target for the law to be Enforced on you... personally... with extreme prejudice.

    from the article;

"Macron has a problem on his hands. Everyone's fed up. He's got to listen more," said Amaya Fuster, eyeing graffiti daubed on a Printemps department store window that read: "There's enough money in the coffers of businessmen. Share the riches!"

in other words, raise taxes on the rich and give it to us or we will burn everything down..

    I've been watching this.
It's not Muslims...it's the FRENCH FARMERS.
Those Good Old Boys are quite irritated that their gas price will go up
over $7 per LITER due to the new taxes by Macron....it's almost $6 now.
Just to clarify, 3.78 Liters to a Gallon.
So you can see why they're a bit put out about the rise in the gas tax.
Just imagine if you had to pay $24 a GALLON. You'd be burning stuff too.
Shucks, if gas ever reached $10 a gallon, there would be a revolution here.
They'd be hanging Democrats from lightpoles!

Straight out of the Socialism playbook...
Tax the BLEEP out of everything that makes the country go,
Make everyone totally dependant on Gov't.
Control everyone and everything in the way you want.

On the other hand, it's entirely possible France is about to see
it's Second Revolution...and as usual, it's over insane taxes.
Break out the Guilliotine, I'll bring the chips & dip!!

All the standard rioting stuff only this is in the high dollar and tourist areas: over gas prices!

    https://mobile.reuters.com/article/amp/idUSKCN1O03N4

It's really not over gas prices. It's over taxation and the governments attempt to scam the populous into believing that an additional tax on gas and other fuel would show the world that France was committed to lower their carbon footprint. However the citizens recognized this latest assault on their pocketbooks is nothing more than a government move to steal more money from the populous by trying to sell the move as being environmentally motivated. This kind of BS is more commonly known as "The straw that broke the camel's back.

Not only are the riots having an effect on France but also Germany, Italy and Sweden. These countries are fed up with the crime and the violence brought to them in the form of Muslim migrants. The citizens are demanding the government physically remove the new residents. Several Mosques have been burned to the ground.

Yesterday the Yellow Jackets closed down the airports, schools, railways, grocery stores, financial institutions, and government facilities. It looks like the riots are far from being over. The citizens of France appear to be determined to take their country back from the current liberal government. Macron blinked and said he favored postponing the new tax for six months but citizens say, they're not buying it and the riots will continue until Macron steps down. Has anyone noticed how little coverage is being given to this story in our Main Stream Media. They and their handlers are scared to death that the movement could gain traction here in the states.

Put me down to bring the French Onion dip and toasted French Bread, the only things other than a good Beaujolais I ever found to like from France!

Thanks for your warm and friendly welcome to the group. No, it's not my first post on a gun forum. So what makes you say, I'm a troll? Are you by any chance the official troll sniffer for this forum? I ask because, you're obviously not an internet sleuth.

Not that I owe you any explanations but, FYI:

Member General Snafu Post #13 isn't off track but there is nothing in U.S. News media accurately investigating and reporting. Without a tinfoil hat, the U.S. could be in turmoil just like France when the straw that breaks the camels back takes place here. Have you heard obout the deaths or hundreds injured? How about French firefighters and police in some areas have demonstrated solidarity with the protesters. OUR News isn't giving it much play (we know there are control/pressure) because "Goverment" is actually a very fragile thing and only retain power as long as the active masses allow it. Just as prison riots spread to other isolated prisons, the Arab Spring sprung up in several countries: the unrest of a population only needs a final issue to spark the fuse. The U.K. splitting with the E.U. Problems in Greece, Spain and now France. Now more countries citizens are coming out strongly against the mass imigrations after experiencing the associated problems.

Anybody think Macron will complete his term? He's already made concessions (delays on implementation dates for taxes) but the list of problems has grown now that the people have his attention! Elections coming up (April?) and neither he nor his Party will be around aftee that IMHO.

No offense my man, but you did make your first post on a GUN forum in a political topic. Walk like a duck, quack like a duck.....just sayin. Not to say you aren't here for the gun shit, but putting your 2 cents in on a political post as your FIRST post from your account will raise some eyebrows.

THANK YOU! This has nothing to do with France's stance on immigration. This is French citizens being tired of getting taxed to death on every day commodities. The ignorant will spout racist shit about muslims at any unrest they see in Europe and its a damn shame that they can't see through their own hatred and realize the problems that TRULY plague these people.
