    Shooters,

Searching for a source of 55 gallon plastic barrels for stage design. Trying to get at least 15 of them. Appreciate any assistance you can provide.

I have access to 14 empty (rinsed) barrels at our plant in Bay Minette AL. I will need help with transportation to move the barrels to Southern Tactical.

Let me know if you still need them.

That’s awesome! Mike here and Johns partner in DZIDPA looking for barrels. When can they be picked up? Week days only or can they be picked up on the weekends?

Thanks John! Yes, we'll definitely take them and any others you come across going forward. As Mike said, let us know about picking them up.

Check with any local ice plants like a Reddy ice and such. They typically buy chlorine in the 50gal drums and a lot don't have any incentive to return to the manufacturer. They just give or throw them away. If I had known this a few months ago there was a facility I audited in Mississippi that had 20 of them for free.

I’ll check with our plant manager in Bay Minette tomorrow to see when they will be rinsed and ready for pick up. Plant is open Monday-Friday.

at one time I got $7 a piece for every one I returned, and then they wanted them back for free and then they didn't want them back. We had to get creative to get rid of them. People made pontoon rafts put of them and they made great dock floats. The best use I found for them was culverts. Cut the ends out and clamp them together and you have a culvert that won't rust out. Hunting camps loved them for crossings. Sorry to get off topic on your thread but you guys brought back some 30 year old memories. Good luck in your search!
