    I was wondering if anyone had an over all length gauge I could use. Of course I would come to you and use it there

    Unfortunately that is not quite what I am needing. It is going to be something like this. I really dont want to have buy that tool just to use it once. I do appreciate the offer though.

    :D suddenly that $35 is lookin good..right. You will use it more than once. The ojive may change with each lot # or even a bullet change..you can get a good starting point.

    I certainly didn't know that it may change between lot numbers of projectiles.
    The only reason I needed it was for my wife's PRS rifle and we ONLY load eld-m 178s but if it could change depending on lots then it would make sense to just pick one up

    there could be a slight variance and I have had a Hornady guy tell me we changed the ojive slightly on that bullet. The change may be insignificant in precision in the long run...but I think it is nice to be able to say...hey...that's different.
